DAPTC are offering on-line training for virtual meetings during late April/early May 2020
We know that a number of councils are at different stages in relation
to virtual meetings. Some are either up and running, practicing or just
thinking about this new way of meeting for councils. We at DAPTC are in the
same boat, but recognise we need to help members figure out the most pragmatic
way of doing business in the current circumstances.
Part of this will be some practical generic training about
video conferencing that can be applied to many of the platforms available. The
training will be done on Zoom-US, as that is currently the most used and
straight forward platform to demonstrate what’s possible. Ultimately which
platform you use, will be down to your council and how comfortable you are with
any costs and use-ability.
DAPTC have been contacting all member council clerks about this; if you are a councillor and are not aware of this, please contact your clerk for further information. If you are a clerk and have not received any information about this, please contact us at email@example.com
DAPTC Courses, seminars and conferences in 2020
DAPTC have postponed all courses, conferences and seminars for now, due to the Coronavirus situation. As soon as we are able to, we hope to get dates to our member councils, but these will be dependant on how much time remains in 2020. As a minimum, we will hope to run the Conference and the Clerks Seminar. If there is sufficient time, we hope to provide a course for Chairmen, Budgets and Precepts course and an update course for councillors. These courses will be run in 2021 if there is insufficient time in 2020.
