This course has had to be cancelled. Please see the upcoming Budgeting and Precepts course if you are interested in attending a course full of useful financial information.
The legal aspects of local government finances, spreadsheets,
budgeting, the Annual Return, with ample opportunities for questions. Courses are continually updated so new
guidance may be incorporated into the training session.
By the end of the session you will have an understanding of
what is required to manage a parish council account and the role that parish
councillors must play.

£40.00 to include coffee/tea on arrival, copies of PowerPoint
slides, relevant hand outs. CPD certificate
(for clerks – this is worth 1.25 CPD points) or an attendance certificate (for
councillors – this contributes towards the DAPTC Star Awards for Councillor
Development 2018/19 certificate for your council, provided the qualifying
criteria is met) is available upon request.
The course will be run by Tony Gibb who has much experience
as both a clerk and a parish councillor.
How to book (please ensure bookings are made via the

below, the clerk will receive an immediate automated booking confirmation,
along with the delegate (the email address must be entered in the delegate address
for joining instructions to be sent to).
The delegate and clerk will receive an emailed course
confirmation from DAPTC, including directions to the venue and other course
details approximately one week before the course date. If this is not received,
please contact us as it may indicate we have not received the booking.
If we are not advised of a
cancellation within two working days of the course, you will still be invoiced
and the full course fee will still be payable.
Your council will be invoiced after the course; please do
not forward payment in advance.
