The Dorset Association of Parish and Town Councils (DAPTC) are an affiliate of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC). If your council is a member of DAPTC that includes automatic membership of NALC and therefore, access to resources, help, support and their legal team.

The Dorset Branch of the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) meets quarterly and all town and parish clerks are encouraged to attend the meetings. Clerks are welcome even if they are not members, so they can get an understanding of the benefits of the meetings and being a member of the SLCC.

The Dorset Association of Parish and Town Councils (DAPTC) are associate members of the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC). Your council can become a member of SLCC to access help, advice and training and individual Clerks can also access professional membership of SLCC.

The Dorset Association of Parish and Town Councils (DAPTC) have partnered with The Parkinson Partnership LLP, an accountancy practice specialising in work for the parish and town council sector, to provide online finance training covering a range of topics in any given year.

DAPTC partner with Dr. Andrea Pellegram for Planning and Neighbourhood Planning matters.

Andrea has a vast level of experience in the sector and the two programmes developed for DAPTC focus on parishes and towns being more effective in planning responses. The Neighbourhood Plan focus is centred on developing a small number of detailed policies that reflect a communities aspirations.
