Have your say on Dorset’s plan for nature

Local councils are invited to comment on the draft Dorset Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

Wildlife in Dorset is declining and spaces for nature are disappearing, but that can change. People and organisations across the county, including Dorset Council, BCP Council and Natural England, have come together to create a plan to restore and protect nature in Dorset. Local councils and individuals are invited to take part in a consultation on the draft strategy which is due to be finalised and published in winter 2025.

Consultation closes 30 July 2025

Lots of information and resources are available from Dorset Council to explain the draft strategy and its aims. Use the links below to find out more and to submit a response.
