Hello, as part of our efforts to keep in touch more regularly, we write to you today with an update on the Parish Council Domains Helper Service and .gov.uk domains, before everyone starts disappearing on leave, to enjoy this truly British version of summer (!)

Energy Supplier Updates
Both EDF and SSE are experiencing billing issues at present and this is affecting many customers. We have received reports of customers being billed incorrectly, not receiving bills, and experiencing significant delays in query management. If you come across any members or clients who are experiencing difficulties please reach out to myself and Kimberley and will provide as much information and support as possible.
There is a great deal of climate action already happening at parish, town and community council level, and by community groups, but the good practice needs to be shared more widely.
Is owning a .gov.uk domain a mandatory requirement for councils?

At least one bank has written to parish councils saying that it believes that they are no longer covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
