This e-learning course explores the use of Display Screen Equipment (DSE) and how the set up of desks and workstations can have a significant impact on health.

DSE refers to any device with a screen and some sort of keyboard, including smart phones, tablets, laptops, and regular desktop computers. How a desk and equipment is set up (workstation) and posture while working with display screen DSE can affect health and safety and if not done correctly can lead to achy necks, sore backs and vision blurry eyes.

  • Identify whether you are a high, medium or low-risk user
  • Recognise the effects of poor posture
  • Adjust your posture so you have a good posture while working
