A perfect follow up to A Basic Introduction to Planning covering some of the more specialised aspects of the planning system as well as looking at some aspects in more detail.

This session builds on the Basic Introduction to Planning and covers some of the more specialised aspects of the planning system as well as looking at some aspects in more detail.  It will explore Local Plans and local planning; planning obligations (Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 agreements); heritage (Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas etc.); nature conservation (including Biodiversity Net Gain); trees & hedgerows, National Landscape areas (formerly Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and much more.

Please note: this course is Intermediate in the CDF but it should be considered Essential for councillors on Planning Committees.

Some recent delegate feedback from this course:

"I like how easy it is to fit this short session in to a busy schedule and get so much out of it."

"It was helpful to get a clear analysis of the way the system works which Andrew does well and illustrates with good examples."
