Second email from Smaller Authorities' Audit Appointments Ltd (SAAA) sent in error.
Last week all councils should have received an email from SAAA, the organisation responsible for appointing external auditors to eligible smaller authorities in England, asking for up to date contact details and explaining a a little about the new Digital AGAR Portal expected to be available for 2027 AGAR submissions. The email states that another email will soon be sent with instructions on how to update details.
Some councils received a second email last week that did not include instructions and was almost identical to the original. This email was sent in error and should be ignored. We have been informed that the promised email with instructions should land this week and SAAA have apologised for any confusion.
