Confirmation of authenticity of emails regarding the Digital AGAR Portal from Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd (SAAA).
DAPTC can confirm that emails from SAAA with the suffix @saaa.co.uk, regarding the forthcoming Digital AGAR Portal, are genuine. SAAA was established to procure external audit services and appoint external auditors for smaller authorities and histrorically their role in the smaller authority audit regime has largely been undertaken behind the scenes. With the launch of the Digital AGAR Portal, however, the responsibilities of SAAA will put the organisation more to the forefront of the process.
Emails were sent by SAAA as part of the preparations for the introduction of the new Digital AGAR Portal. As part of the launch process, SAAA are asking local councils to confirm their contact details, including email addresses and key contacts, to ensure that portal registration and sign-up information is accurate. Later this year, the organisation will provide small authorities with further information about free portal training offered by their member bodies, NALC, SLCC and ADA.
