Important Information Relating to Ash Dieback

We want to alert Parish and Town Councils to the fact that Ash Dieback is not the death sentence at first thought and many trees can recover and continue to grow healthily.

We highlight advice from government advisory bodies that felling of diseased trees should only be done where health and safety is an issue. I have sent you both the research overview and a selection of references (there's too many to provide a comprehensive list!) which I hope your members will find helpful in making decisions about what action to take.

We are trying to alert all those with trees in their remit, to save as many trees as possible to increase resistance in the existing trees and for future generations to enjoy.
