High Sheriff of Dorset, Callum Bremner, in ceremonial dress

Meet the High Sheriff of Dorset

High Sheriff awards for those volunteering for their communities.

Callum Bremner JP, of Bridport, became High Sheriff of Dorset in March 2025 and as is customary, will serve for one year. As part of his role, Callum, is reaching out to parish and town councils to find out what volunteer groups they have in their areas. He's particularly keen to hear about people within those groups who have unselfishly gone above and beyond in support of a cause.

Callum has the power to bestow a High Sheriff Award on behalf of His Majesty, the King, and says, "I am looking for small volunteering organisations within your parishes and towns that would appreciate a visit from the High Sheriff... to recognise on behalf of His Majesty, individuals within those organisation that might merit a special thanks for their outstanding work for their community without reward, other than to see their community flourish".

If you have such people in your area please let the High Sheriff know by sending an email direct to him at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
