The new High Sheriff continues awards for those volunteering for their communities.
Dr Helena Conibear DL, of Frampton, became High Sheriff of Dorset in March 2026 and as is customary, will serve for one year. As part of her role, Dr Conibear will continue the established scheme of High Sheriff's awards, given to people who have unselfishly gone above and beyond in support of a cause. If you have such people in your area please let the High Sheriff know by sending an email direct to her at:
Dr Conibear tells us her focus will be on young people, and as part of this work she will be organising a walking tour of the county - watch out for details and do welcome her if she travels through your parish.
