Weymouth Town Council Celebrates Volunteers’ Week

The Town Council was delighted to celebrate the wonderful people who make such valuable contributions to the town.

Volunteers' Week 1 - 7 June 2026

From the young people who give up their time to be representatives on Weymouth’s Youth Council, the various Friends groups working with the Council’s Greenspaces Team, and the volunteers at Tumbledown Community Growspace, to litter pickers who help keep the town clean and tidy and the parade marshals who help with Armed Forces events, Weymouth Town Council thanked everyone for their valuable contributions to Weymouth communities.

Cllr David Harris, Mayor of Weymouth, said: “We are delighted to join in with Volunteers’ Week and we would like to say a big thank you to all the wonderful volunteers in Weymouth who give up their time to make such a valuable contribution to our town. For anyone looking to volunteer to lend a hand and make a difference to the local community, there are a range of opportunities available.”

The Town Council shared details on a range of volunteering opportunities on its website which can be found USING THIS LINK.
